The Holy Quran An-Nisa (The Women) - سورة النساء Chapter 4 Verse 1 O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
The Holy Quran Al-'Aĥzāb (The Combined Forces) - سورة الأحزاب Chapter 33 Verse 71 72
O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.
He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Makkah - blessed and a guidance for the worlds.
In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.
The Holy Quran
Al-Ĥaj (The Pilgrimage) - سورة الحج
Chapter 22 Verse 26, 27, 28, 29
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.
And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -
That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.
Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform Tawaf around the ancient House."
The Holy Quran Surat Al-'Aĥzāb (The Combined Forces) - سورة الأحزاب Chapter : Verse 70,71 O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.
He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
Surat Al-Ĥashr (The Exile) - سورة الحشر Chapter 59:Verse 18
O you who have believed, fear Allah . And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow - and fear Allah . Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
Surat 'Āli `Imrān (Family of Imran) - سورة آل عمران
Chapter 3:Verse 102 O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like livestock; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless.
Surat Al-Ĥaj (The Pilgrimage) - سورة الحج
Chapter 22:Verse 46
So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.
Surat An-Nūr (The Light) - سورة النور
Chapter 24:Verse 24
On a Day when their tongues, their hands and their feet will bear witness against them as to what they used to do.
Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) - سورة البقرة The Holy Quran 2:209, 210O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
But if you deviate after clear proofs have come to you, then know that Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) - سورة البقرة The Holy Quran 2:186
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.
Bukhari & Muslim
"O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my tongue, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light behind me, light in front of me, light on my right, light on my left, light above me and light below me; place light in my sinew, in my flesh, in my blood, in my hair and in my skin; place light in my soul and make light abundant for me; make me light and grant me light."
Al-Qadr (The Night Of Power)
The Holy Quran
Chapter 97
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.
RAMADAN UNDER MICROSCOPE
Ramadan is the probation period for the Muslims therefore its understanding is our obligation. And Alhamdulillah this treatise before you is a humble presentation on the various subjects of Ramadan which may or may not be known to the common mass of the Muslim society. Its main vision is to Comprehend the month of Ramadan in the right perspective of the authentic sources in contrast to the ritualistic understanding. We have enlisted variety of worship that are specific to this month and also have spoken at length about its aims and virtues. We hope that this would be beneficial to both Muslims and Non Muslims alike. And if we in any way have improved upon the understanding of Sharia then we would have achieved our purpose of penning it down for you.

Narrated Abu Huraira(r.a): The Prophet (peace be upon him) as saying, "Who ever fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah will have all of his previous sins forgiven."
“When Ramadhan comes, the Gates of Mercy are opened and the Gates of Hell are shut and the devils are put in chains”-Sahih Bukhari
My little son was up at four for the morning repast.
Like the others he too wanted to observe the fast.
The fare was simple, chapatti, vegetable and egg.
No beef or chunk of mutton or chicken leg.
No food after sunrise and the thirst we defy.
No Smoking’, ‘No Paan’ or the occasional lie.
Control the impulses and the thoughts that come unbidden.
Why! For a man even his wife is forbidden!
Fasting manifests the ongoing bout.
Between good sense and the devil’s clout.
Those who view fasting with doubt.
understand, the devil is within not without.
Men with vaunted intelligence will demand.
How does it help, the devil’s brief remand.
Well my friend, if you can be good for thirty days.
Why not for an year or for always.
The message of fasting is simple and brief.
Do good, be polite and stay out of mischief.
Eat less and you eat only twice.
Be charitable, cultivate no avarice.

TRUECOLORSOFFASTING
Indeed all praise be to Allah as such we praise Him, seek His help and assistance from the evil of oneself and from the evil that resides due to our deeds. We thank Allah [swt] for guiding us to the benefits of fasting which if rightly comprehended can help this Muslim Ummah in combating the evil by practicing self restrain. We also thank Allah [swt] for granting and encouraging us with the variety of fasts so that we can constantly turn to him with sincere repentance. We ask Allah to grant us with the ability and desire to fast like that of Prophet Dawood [peace be upon him] which was the most beloved fast in the sight of Allah. And may peace and blessings be upon the Imam of the Messengers Muhammed Ibn Abdullah[s], his family, and his companions and all those who have followed him and all those who are following him until the Last day.
The true colors are the realities of fasting. And this treatise on fasting is the elucidation of concepts, purposes, types, and the virtues of fasts in contrast to ritualistic understanding. It is assumed that this treatise Insha Allah would be beneficial for understanding and encouraging the Muslims to fast in and out of Ramadan.

At-Tawbah (The Repentance) - سورة التوبة
The Holy Quran

Surat 'Āli `Imrān (Family of Imran) - سورة آل عمران
The Holy Quran
Chapter 3 Verse 180And let not those who [greedily] withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty ever think that it is better for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allah , with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted.

Al-Isra (The Night Journey)
Chapter 17 Verse 23,24
23. And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.
24. And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."
They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it."
Al-'Isrā' (The Night Journey) - سورة الإسراء
Chapter 17 Verse 1
26 And give the relative his right, and [also] the poor and the traveler, and do not spend wastefully.
27 Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.
This was a difficult time in the life of Prophet Muhammad (swa), and this journey was a great compliment to him. The deliverance of the message was entering a new phase, and the establishment of the Muslim nation was about to begin. Prophet Muhammad (swa) was feeling overwhelmed and alone. The vast majority of Meccans had refused to heed his call or accept his message. Both his beloved uncle and cherished wife had died, and this gift (Miraj) of Allah swt offered him support and opened his eyes to the signs and wonders of the universe.
The Holy Quran Al-Imran (The Family of Imran)
Chapter 3 : Verse 104 & 110104 - And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful.
110 - You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah . If only the People of the Scripture (Jews & Christian) had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.
Al-Imran(Family of Imran)
Chapter 03 : Verse 103And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.
The Holy QuranSurat An-Naziat (Those who drag forth)
Chapter 70 : Verse 40 & 41
40. But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
41. Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
The Holy QuranSurah At-Tahrim (The Prohibtion)
Chapter 66 : Verse 6O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.
The Holy Quran
Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage)
Chapter22 : Verse 037Their meat will not reach Allah , nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.
O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely [and perfectly] and do
notfollow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
Sahih Bukhari
Book 1 : Volume 1 : Hadith 1
Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for."
And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous."
Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace,
Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an abode and place of rest!
Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!"
"And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is over all things competent. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding-Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
